A Home Care Package is one form of aged care funding provided by the Australian Government to help older people at home.
Home Care Package services can often be overwhelming and what’s right for one person might not be right for you. Our expert local team can help you get more out of your Home Care Package and will support you through selecting the right services to suit your needs.
A Home Care Package with KinCare brings you more flexibility, more service options, 24 hours a day support, 7 days a week and an individual budget to spend on the services and supports you want, providing you with better value.

Home Care Packages - Fees as of 1 July 2024
Basic Care Fee
KinCare does not request customers to pay a Basic Care Fee.
Package Management Fee
This is for the general management of your Home Care Package, including staff checks, induction, managing package funds and statements, government audits and training.

Care Management Fee
This is for the assessment, planning, facilitation, care coordination, evaluation of your services and support. Your dedicated Customer Care Manager will work with you to plan your care and help you use your package in the best way possible. Includes access to Registered Nurse phone support 24 hours per day.

Means testing
Unless you are a full Pensioner, you will be asked to pay an Income Tested Care Fee towards your care. The Department of Human Services (Centrelink) will assess your income and notify you and KinCare how much you need to pay. Your income is reviewed by Centrelink quarterly. Providers cannot waive or discount this fee.

* Overnight Care: Overnight Care is up to 12 hours, between 8pm and 8am. Team members need a bed in a separate room and need 8 hours sleep, or the fee reverts back to the hourly rate. Additional fees will apply for disturbances.
* 24 Hour Care: 24 Hour Care has the same start and end time. Team members need a bed in a separate room and can only work 10 hours during any one shift, or the fee reverts back to the hourly rate.
^Some customer services may attract an additional fee. As we work with you to tailor your package to suit your needs, your Customer Care Manager will discuss these charges with you.
