Highly creative Home Care Worker Robert Nethery is a man of many talents, but we think his best talent is the way Rob brings a smile to Customers faces.

Robert Nethery has been working for KinCare in Tasmania for over twelve months after leaving a thirty-five year long successful career as a chef.

One of Rob’s favourite parts of the job is keeping our Customers engaging with life through their every day activities.

“Encouraging people to stay active is important, I enjoy that I can help our Customers go shopping and then keep busy in the kitchen” says Rob.

In fact word of his famous talents as a chef spread very quickly and Rob ended up catering a seventieth birthday party for one of our very happy and grateful Customers.

A career with KinCare will leave you feeling fulfilled and inspired whilst offering flexibility and variety.

As an avid reader, we asked Rob to share his favourite book.

“Too hard to choose just one” says Rob, a sentiment many of us know only too well.

“I am a huge science fiction fact and I have read many books of that genre.  The last book I read was The rise and fall of D.O.D.O by Neil Stephenson and Nicola Galland.  It’s a very complicated story that involves time travel and magic” he enthuses.

With so many Customers sharing stories and advice, it’s no wonder Rob has picked up many valuable tips over the past twelve months.

“Encouraging people to stay active is important, I enjoy that I can help our Customers go shopping and then keep busy in the kitchen”

“I am often told ‘keep your mouth shut Robert’ or – at least to make sure my brain engages before I speak, it doesn’t always happen!”

When Rob isn’t busy working, he enjoys unwinding with some down time.

“I love camping.  Just to go somewhere quiet and get away from it all”
