The Home and Community Care Program or HACC provides a variety of supports to older
people, people with a disability and their carers. The Home and Community Care Program is subsidised jointly by
the Australian Government and State and Territory Governments. Clients are also required to make a contribution to
the cost of providing the service.
The services in the Home and Community Care Program are generally
provided to people with low to moderate in home care support needs who need a limited number of different service
types. However, some clients with very high support needs do also access the Home and Community Care Program,
particularly through case management services. KinCare is funded for specific HACC service types in each
region.
Follow the links in the table below for more information on each service type. Further details
of the specifc regions and target groups can be found by selecting the relevant HACC program. Not all services and
target groups are available in all areas.
