Live In Respite Care

KinCare's live-in respite care service enables carers of people with dementia and behaviours of concern who have difficulty accessing residential respite to have an extended break. KinCare provides a substitute carer to stay with the client while the primary carer takes a break.

This program provides a live in carer to allow carers of people with dementia and behaviours of concern to have a well earned break KinCare keeps in touch with carers and care recipients' doctors while the carer has a break.

How Does the Live In Respite Care Program Work?

A KinCare Program Manager conducts a detailed assessment with each carer and care recipient. Program Managers work with eligible carers to plan services that will best meet their needs and provide a positive experience for care recipients. Where dementia care is involved, KinCare has specialist staff, experienced in providing care for people with dementia and can discuss a variety of strategies that help reduce the stress of accepting care for carers and care recipients.
