KinCare set to acquire Stanhope as new division

I am pleased to announce that this weekend KinCare has reached agreement with the CEO of Healthcare Australia, Mr Andy McRae, to acquire Stanhope as a new division.

KinCare and Stanhope are two of Australia’s leading in home care providers.  Combining the resources of these two organisations opens exciting opportunities to increase our investment in services and local communities, further increase the specialisation of our staff, and make a difference for more clients.

The strengths of KinCare and Stanhope are complementary.  Together we will deliver services to over 10,000 older Australians across seven states and territories. We will be able to offer services to people with a wider variety of needs in more local communities than either organisation has been able to in the past.

I am looking forward to working in partnership with the staff of Stanhope after contract settlement in July. Their expertise will make a valuable contribution to building the organisations into one of Australia’s leading home care providers.

KinCare and Stanhope are in home care specialists committed to meeting the needs of older people, people with a disability and carers in their own homes.  The strategic combination of the two organisations provides an opportunity to make a profound difference to our clients over the long-term. We will take a considered approach to integrating the two businesses to ensure the strengths of both are maintained and are looking forward to the benefits that will be realised as these organisations combine resources and work together.

The KinCare and Stanhope leadership teams and I will be communicating regularly with our clients, staff, funders and community partners over the coming weeks and months. Our clients will remain our primary focus and we will maintain service continuity as the businesses are integrated. At this stage no changes are occurring.  Please continue to contact your service provider, KinCare or Stanhope, in exactly the same way as you have in the past.
